    Minimum qualifications:

    • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with focus on audio signal processing, or equivalent practical experience.
    • 6 years of experience developing Digital Signal Processing algorithms, including voice processing (e.g., noise suppression, spectral analysis).
    • Experience designing and implementing real-time Machine Learning (ML) based voice processing algorithms for embedded systems or mobile platforms.
    • Experience in one or more of the following: LLM, NLP, ASR, TTS, ML/AI using C, C++, Python.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • 10 years of experience developing Digital Signal Processing algorithms, including voice processing (e.g., noise suppression, spectral analysis).
    • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role, setting direction and driving business impact.
    • Experience optimizing algorithms for performance and low latency.
    • Experience in generative AI and speech research, including first-author publications at AI conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, InterSpeech, etc.).

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     Responsibilities

    • Innovate in speech, language, and conversational AI through fundamental and applied research.
    • Design and develop cutting-edge speech algorithms and systems using Digital Signal Processing, deep learning and big data.
    • Execute experiments such as design, implementation, analysis, and communication of results.
    • Lead a team of researchers and engineers, setting technical direction.
    • Collaborate across disciplines to integrate research into Google products.
