    About the Role

We’re in search of a passionate Senior Privacy Engineer who’s driven by the challenge of embedding privacy into the DNA of our products and infrastructure. This role is perfect for someone who’s eager to make a mark by leading innovative privacy projects, enhancing our global compliance posture, and championing privacy-first design.

You will architect, design, and write greenfield code to systematically ensure our privacy standards are adhered to across all of engineering. This role has pan-engineering scope in our product platform.

This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.

    In this role, you will:

    • Spearhead privacy projects, driving them from concept to implementation, ensuring they align with global privacy regulations and embody our commitment to user privacy.

    • Build data access layers that ensure privacy by default.

    • Work cross functionally to ensure adoption of your platform, advocate for privacy-by-design principles, and foster an environment where privacy and security are everyone's responsibility.

    • Serve as a privacy advocate, educating and influencing internal and external stakeholders on the importance of privacy and data protection.

    • Communicate progress, status, and risk effectively to stakeholders internally and externally.

You might thrive in this role if you:

    • Have 7+ years of software engineering experience at the interface between high scale distributed infrastructure and quickly iterating product development.

    • A major plus is a strong background in privacy engineering or a related field, with hands-on experience in designing and implementing privacy-centric solutions in various environments.

    • You possess exceptional problem-solving skills, are adaptable, and can thrive in fast-paced environments, making sound decisions even when faced with ambiguity.

    • You value continuous learning and are seeking an opportunity where you can grow professionally, contribute to a mission-driven team, and lead by example in the field of privacy engineering.
